George W. Beadle Center
Biochemistry classrooms and laboratories are located in The George W. Beadle Center for Genetics and Biomaterials Research, a 140,000 square foot state of the art research and teaching facility opened in 1996. The building was named in honor of a Nebraska native, UNL graduate, and Nobel Prize winner in Genetics. The Beadle Center is home to multi-million dollar centers for Biotechnology research, Plant Sciences, Virology and Redox Biology.

The Beadle Center additionally boasts an attached greenhouse facility, numerous small conference rooms for seminars and group meetings, as well as adjacent parking for faculty, students and staff.
